I can remember back to my very first Aussie - his name was Stubby. And I guess I do remember life before that: growing up, family and friends, other dogs; but my life has always been a little bit better since Stubby.
I have never been without at least one Aussie since then. Next came Sapphire, and

shortly after that my husband, Richard. Since then we have raised Aussies together, and had more than our share of adventures with them. Our Aussies have been mountain dogs with packstrings of mules, watchdogs, protectors (and sometimes heelers) of our children, taught themselves to point pheasants and quail, pulled in harness in many of our sleddog teams in Idaho and Alaska, and worked cattle both in Idaho and Arizona. They have been our constant companions, protectors, and best friends.
To say they are an amazing breed is an understatement. Of course, most of you already know that!
We have always tried to maintain the working instincts in these beautiful dogs. Showing is both challenging and thrilling when we get the call, but these dogs were developed to work, and our ultimate thrill is to watch our dogs'excitement as they get to work cattle in the mountains or the roping pens.
These pages are dedicated to our best friends: past, present, and future; and all the time we share together in the outdoors!
